Originally this staircase was set out for tiles, so effectively the depths for the treads and up-risers had to be altered to enable our finishes to sit flush with the polished concrete floors. The surface preparation for this staircase had to be improved ten-fold due to multiple substrates and poor sub floor. Our micro cements are the industry leaders, for robust quality with their “Belt and braces” approach.
Creating a seamless micro cement finish with our custom colour tones, complimented the polished concrete floors applied by Lazenby.
Due to public usage, the brass metal corner protectors had to be installed even though the corners would have looked much better. The stringer course was incorporated to provide a much stronger barrier against the Lime wash walls we installed.
